Demand Five
Demand Five is the online download service from Five television. The Demand Five service, previously known as 'five download', went live on the 26 June 2008.
You may want to catch up on the programmes you missed last night, last week or download an entire series that you missed.
Demand Five includes a mixture of programmes that you will need to pay for (this is due to specific deals with production studios) and free programmes. Just head to the watch now section to see what's available to view.
You could connect your computer to your television to watch Demand Five, programmes are offered at broadcast standard through Demand Five, so it will be almost like watching live TV.
To download and watch VOD through the Demand Five site, you will have to register and download the Demand Five Player.
The installation process will check your system for compatibility and that you are connected through a UK Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Note: UK only IP restrictions apply to all VOD services on Demand Five, including installation of the Demand Five Player.

Media Player: Windows Media Player 10 or above (for streamed windows media), Windows Media Player 11 or above (for downloaded windows media) and Adobe Flash 9.0.115 or above (for streamed flash)
Connection Speed: Broadband Connection Required (1Mbps minimum)
System Clock: Set to correct time zone, time, and date

Programmes on Demand Five are high quality, so they may take a little while to download. It is best to access the service with a connection speed of at least 500kbps, otherwise your downloads may take some time to complete.
If you are trying to access the Demand Five service from an office or work computer you may have problems with firewall restrictions set by your company.
You will need to contact your network or system administrator for help.
Demand Five on Apple
Most Demand Five programmes are available to watch on Apple Macintosh computers. Some of our older programmes and paid for programmes are unfortunately not available on Macs due to rights restrictions or security requirements.
 
Firefox
Some older programmes that use Windows Media Video which may not be compatible with some versions of the Firefox player. If you experience problems, download and install the Windows Media Player Firefox Plug-in.
