Five US
Five US is a free-to-view entertainment television channel in the United Kingdom owned by Five, launched on October 16, 2006 It was the second digital channel to be launched by Five as part of their multi-channel strategy, the first being Five Life. Five US concentrates on showing imported movies and programmes from the United States, originally broadcast from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., extending its hours starting at 12 p.m. in June 2007. The channel changes its programme slots and shows from time to time.
Five US is shown on Freeview, cable television and Satellite. Many of the series shown on the channel, particularly older ones, are edited for time to make way for increased advertising demands.
The channels highest ratings to date were on July 9, 2007 for the series premiere of Courtney Cox's Dirt. The show averaged 615,000 viewers between 9pm and 10:10pm , equating to a 3.4% share.

It peaked around half-way through with 663,000 viewers and a 3.6% share. Those numbers made the show the most-watched multichannel programme in its slot and gave the network four times as many viewers as it usually receives in this time slot. On August 28, 2007, Five US launched a timeshift channel named Five US +1 available on Sky Digital.
To view Five US on Sky Digital a Freesat from Sky card is required, the channel is Free-To-View. The channel is Free-To-Air on the digital terrestrial network Freeview.
