Freesat+ Recording
The Humax FOSAT-HDR comes with a 350GB hard drive, this has two partions, one for Video/Radio (286.1GB), allowing the recording of 143 hours of standard definition (SD) programming or 35 hours in high definition (HD). The second partition named Music/Photo (26.2GB), reducing this partition will increase the amount of television or radio programming that can be recorded.
Patition sizes can be changed under the 'Hidden Menu'.
It is also possible to upgrade the hard drive to 1T (Terabyte), upgrading will void your warranty.

Recording
Before recording, ensure that there is sufficient space available on the hard drive, a one hour standard definition (SD) recording will require around 2GB of space. Most HD content will be copy protected and can not be copied to external devices, such as an external hard drive. Radio programmes can also be recorded.
ressing STANDBY while recording, will not stop the recording, the Humax FOSAT-HDR will go in to standby when the recording has finished.
Press the i button to display the channel or channels being recorded.

General Recording (One Touch Recording)

The Humax FOSAT-HDR has two independent tuners, these should both have their own cable, connected to a dual or quad LNB. This will allow the receiver to record two programmes at the same time, while allowing you to view another. If both tuners are connected using a single LNB, only channels using the same polarity (horizontal or vertical), can be recorded or watched. For best possible recording and viewing options, always use the two cable option.
If one cable is used, the second tuner is connected via the LNB 1 out socket.
