| Press the RED Button on your Sky remote |
The RED button on a Sky Digital remote, is the Interactive button. You will often see on Sky channels, the BBC, ITV, channel 4 and five, a red symbol of one kind or another appear during certain programmes. For example, Channel 4's Big Brother or horse racing on Four.
Certain channels like BBC News 24 and Sky News, always have interactive content.
Red Button Interactive services should not be confused with digital Text TV used by a number of broadcasters. Text TV can be accessed by pressing the TEXT button on the Sky remote. |

| Interactive Demonstration |
To demonstrate Red button or Interactive features, Channel 4 programming has been chosen.
Firstly press your Red Button, the symbol in this case is Form, located at the top right hand corner of the screen. This indicated that interactive features are available for the duration of the programme.

once you have pressed the Red button, the interactice services will begin to load. This will take a few seconds to load. you will continue to see the broadcast programme in full screen. The Form button will now have changed to Loading.
You will shortly enter the Interactive enviroment of your Sky Digital receiver. Some features will require you receiver to be connected to a landline.

| TIP: You can remove the red interactive symbol from your screen by turning it off under System Setup, Picture Setting, and then by setting the "On-Screen Icon Timeout" to "On". The red icon will still appear making you aware of interactive services, it will vanish after 30 seconds. |
Your now at the interacrive menu, this will of course vary from broadcaster to broadcaster.
Use the up and down arrows on your Sky remote to navigate the menu. Once you have chosen an interactive area, press the round select button on your remote control. |

Unlike digital text tv, the interactive services tend to change with the programme being broadcast. As you can see from the menu, the top content is related to the racing programme on Channel Four, Race Cards & Form, Today's Racing.

| Once you have chosen an area from the menu, and have pressed select, the TV programme being broadcast will be shown in a smaller screen to the left. This allows the viewer to use the available services and keep track of the programme at the same time. To leave a sub menu, press Backup on the remote or the Sky button to return to the full screen. |

| Remember many services available by your Red Button are NOT FREE, and they require your receiver to be connected to a UK landline. There are however, many great FREE features. So press that Red Button, explore and interact. |
