Freesat from Sky

Freesat from Sky is free digital satellite TV and radio service, for a one-off payment, if you already have a Sky installation, you will only require a viewing card which costs £25.
If you are a former Sky subscriber, with the current white card in your receiver, you already have Freesat from Sky. If you have a Sky+ or Sky+HD receiver, the recording features will not work with a Freesat from Sky card.
The Freesat from Sky card will give you access to a few free-to-view channels, Pick TV, Pick TV+1, Viva, Sony TV, LFC TV, Motors TV, Channel 5 HD (Sky+HD required).

The following encrypted ITV1 regions can also be viewed through the free-to-view (ftv) card: ITV1 Meridian SE, ITV1 Meridian N, ITV1 Anglia W, ITV1 Yorkshire E, ITV1 Tyne Tees S and ITV1 Central SW. The channels can be found on 12.402 Vertical on Astra 2B (North beam).
An encrypted version of Channel 4 and Channel 4+1 is also available on 12480 Vertical on Astra 2A (North beam).
If you do not have the correct postcode for one of these regions, they will not be displayed on the Sky EPG (Electronic Programme Guide), and must be added manualy through 'Add Channels' and viewed via the 'Other Channels' option.
This is an option, those living outside the British Isles should consider, as they all broadcast on a much wider beam than that used by the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 for most of their channels (Astra 2D).
There are many other channels you will be able to see including all those from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, along with CNN, Sky News and many more.
All these channels are free-to-air (fta) and do not require either a Sky card or a Sky receiver.
